Longitudinal Cohort Study on the Filipino Child (LCSFC)


In September 2016 OPS was commissioned by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Philippines to be the Implementing Institution of the LCSFC, an ongoing 14-year study (2016-2030) that tracks a nationally representative sample of Filipinos from age 10 through 24. The LCSFC is jointly supported by the Philippine Government, UNFPA, UNICEF and the Australian Government. This study involves other major research institutions of the country: Demographic Research and Development Foundation of the University of the Philippines Population Institute, Research Institute for Mindanao Culture of Xavier University and Center for Social Research and Education of the University of San Carlos.
